A Hill County man was arrested Thursday in Lacy Lakeview after police found more than 5 pounds of marijuana in his vehicle, an arrest affidavit states.

Jesus Vasquez, 19, of Hillsboro, was arrested Thursday outside a Lacy Lakeview business. Officers with Waco Police Department's Drug Enforcement Unit had information about a possible drug buy outside the business, according to the affidavit.

When Vasquez arrived in his car, officials approached him, according to the affidavit. He was arrested without incident.

Officers searched Vasquez's car and found 5.4 pounds of marijuana with packaging in the back of the car, the affidavit states.

Authorities arrested Vasquez on a second-degree felony charge of delivery of more than five pounds of marijuana. He was taken to McLennan County Jail, where he remained Friday with bond listed at $10,000.
