Chaney named Trib employee benefits coordinator

Lynn Chaney, 52, has been named employee benefits coordinator at the Tribune-Herald and will keep the newspaper’s 145 employees aware of benefits available to them through the ownership of Robinson Media Co.

An 18-year employee of the Trib, the Marlin native most recently served as executive assistant to the publisher, Dan Savage. Before that, she was an accounts payable supervisor and an administrator in the circulation department.
Chaney, who now resides in Little River-Academy in Bell County, has attended classes at Tarrant County College and McLennan Community College.
Besides coordinating employee benefits and staying informed of issues and policies relating to medical and life insurance, Chaney will oversee payroll for the newspaper.
“My main goal is to take care of our employees,” Chaney said.
