Work continues on the renovation of the Rapoport Academy’s Gomez Administration Building, formerly a Paul Quinn College facility.

The building was erected in 1952 and once housed classrooms and offices for the historically black Waco college.

The ongoing $3 million renovation will add 17 classrooms, a music facility, technology labs and offices to the Rapoport Academy’s campus. The renovation also includes a 7,000-square-foot addition to the building.

The high school will hold a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the campus, 1020 Elm St., to raise funds for the renovation work.
