A Robinson woman has claimed a $2.5 million prize in the Texas Lottery scratch-off ticket game “100X The Cash,” lottery officials announced Monday.

Brenda Baker won the third of four top prizes in the scratch-off game when she purchased the ticket at Pit Stop #2, 211 S. Robinson Drive. The business will also be eligible for the $10,000 retailer bonus, the Texas Lottery Commission said.

Attempts to reach Baker, who requested minimal publicity from the lottery commission, were unsuccessful Monday.

Sushil Atreya, manager at Pit Stop, said Baker comes into the store occasionally and she scratched off the ticket in the store. Atreya said she was surprised by the multi-million dollar boon.

“She scratched it in front of us. I couldn’t believe it,” Atreya said. “She was excited.”

Atreya said the store has never before sold such a large winning lottery ticket. He said the owner will decide what to do with the $10,000 store bonus.
