A Bosqueville home suffered extensive damage after flames and smoke were spotted coming out of the rural McLennan County home Monday afternoon.

Fire crews from Waco, China Spring and Speegleville were called to the 7600 block of Rock Creek Road at about 2 p.m. Flames and heavy smoke were seen coming from the single-story house when firefighters arrived, Waco Fire Department Training Chief R.M. Bergerson said.

Fire crews called for additional help as the fire caused the roof to collapse and damaged the home, he said. No injuries were reported from the fire.

Fire and utility crews rerouted traffic near Bosqueville High School. Bergerson said each of the agencies assisted in getting the fire under control shortly after 2:30 p.m.

The cause of the fire remained unknown Monday evening.
