Waco horse wins 3rd place in show
Waco resident Jess Gilbert and his American Quarter Horse, Special TE Lady, (left) captured third place in the weanling mares at the American Quarter Horse Association Adequan Select World Championship Show in Amarillo on Aug. 30. The event was open to amateur exhibitors ages 50 and older. In the weanling mares, 13 competitors vied for world champion honors. Special TE Lady is owned and bred by Gilbert and sired by Mr Ice TE by Enchantess. Gilbert is pictured with AQHA president Johannes Orgeldinger (middle) and Gary Conway, AQHA account manager.
