STEWARD, an initiative of Workforce Solutions for the Heart of Texas, will hold a workshop on farmers’ markets at the Czech Inn, 114 Melodie Drive in West at 9 a.m. on Dec. 1-2.

Lorena FFA stock show

Friends of Lorena FFA Christmas Classic Stock Show and Roping will be held at the McGregor’s Central Texas Youth Rodeo Association arena, 1700 Bluebonnet Parkway on Dec. 4. Weigh-in begins at 7 a.m., stock show at 9 a.m. with roping following.

Burn workshop

A prescribed burn workshop will be at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 7-8 at the Meridian Civic Center, 200 River St.

Cost is $10, $15 at the door, which includes materials and lunch on Dec. 7; registration deadline is Nov. 30.
