Mid-Tex show opens Tuesday at complex
The Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the 39th annual Equipment Depot Mid-Tex Farm and Ranch Show on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Heart O’ Texas Fair Complex, 4601 Bosque Blvd.
The event will feature the latest farm and ranch equipment, seed, chemicals and agriculture-related services and technologies.
The annual Blackland Income Growth Conference will be held in conjunction with the show.

Applicants wanted
Texas Agricultural Lifetime Leadership Program is seeking applicants, ages 25-50, for a new class beginning in June.
TALL is a two-year, leadership-development program managed by the Texas AgriLife Extension Service.
Applications are due March 15. Forms are available at www.tall.tamu.edu.
The program includes 455 hours of training through seminars, speakers and trips. Tuition costs $2,000.
March convention
Environmental and climate scientist Jay Lehr is a guest speaker at the annual Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association Convention set for March 20-21 at the Fort Worth Convention Center, 1201 Houston St.
