The McLennan County Master Gardeners will be available to answer questions about lawns, gardens and other horticulture- related topics from 1-4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at the McLennan County Extension office, 420 N. Sixth St.

Lawn management
Texas AgriLife Extension Service in McLennan County is sponsoring a free program on home lawn management and maintenance from 9-11:30 a.m. Monday at the Carleen Bright Arboretum, 9001 Bosque Blvd. in Woodway.
Jim McAfee, Texas AgriLife Extension Service turf-grass specialist, will discuss how to get a lawn going after a wet, cold and harsh winter.

Small Grain Field Day
Texas AgriLife Extension is sponsoring its annual Small Grain Field Day from 8:45 a.m.-noon April 23 at Huffman Fields on U.S. Highway 84 near McGregor.
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m.
Topics will include variety trial tour, small grain insects, marketing small grains, and laws and regulations. Lunch will be provided after the event.
