No students were evacuated at Robinson Junior High School Tuesday after an eighth-grade student sent a bomb threat through the district’s email system, Robinson ISD officials said.
Principal David Wrzesinski said he became aware of the threat around 8:30 a.m. and quickly established it was not valid.
Wrzesinski said the message was extremely vague, with the student claiming to have planted multiple bombs elsewhere in the building but not saying where.
Wrzesinski said the student quickly admitted that it was a prank and not intended to harm anyone. It was decided that the student didn’t have the means to plant explosives, Wrzesinski said.
Robinson ISD police are still investigating and have yet to decide whether charges against the student will be filed. The student was suspended, he said.
