Matt Baker to file motion for new trial today

Former pastor Matt Baker, convicted this year in the 2006 murder of his wife, Kari Baker, and sentenced to 65 years in prison, will file a motion for a new trial and change of venue today.

Kari Baker’s death initially was ruled a suicide, but her husband was charged in her death after her body was later exhumed and re-examined.
