The Baker murder case will be featured in back-to-back episodes beginning at 8 p.m. with “The Preacher’s Wife,” and concluding with an updated program at 9 p.m. called “Dirty Little Secrets.”
CBS correspondent Erin Moriarty conducted interviews with Kari Baker’s family; their Waco attorney, Bill Johnston; members of the McLennan County district attorney’s office; and former Texas Ranger Matt Cawthon.
Also featured are interviews with Matt Baker and a police video of an interview with his mistress, Vanessa Bulls, who testified at his trial that Baker told her he killed his wife — a teacher and the mother of their two daughters — so they could be together.
Baker, who maintains his innocence, is serving 65 years in prison. He told authorities his wife was depressed and took her own life with sleeping pills.
