The Friends of the Waco-McLennan County Library is sponsoring its annual book sale today through Sunday in the Creative Arts and Exhibits Building at the Heart O’ Texas Fairgrounds, 4601 Bosque Blvd.

Hours are from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Admission today costs $5 for ages 15 and older and is free all other days.

Baylor piano trio

The Baylor University Piano Trio, a chamber group composed of three music faculty artists, will present a concert of music by Brahms and Mendelssohn at 6 tonight in Roxy Grove Hall.

This trio features Associate Professor of Violin Eka Gogichashvili, Professor of Cello Gary Hardie and Assistant Professor of Piano Vincent de Vries.

A Hometown Mission, a local nonprofit group that ministers to and assists families in need throughout McLennan County, is seeking sponsors for the 230 families who have applied for holiday assistance.

Storytelling program

The Heart of Texas Storytelling Guild is sponsoring “Tellabration!” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the Fellowship Hall at Austin Avenue United Methodist Church, 1300 Austin Ave.

Tellabration, a worldwide event that celebrates the art of storytelling, will feature renowned storyteller Mel Davenport as well as members of Mexia’s Bluebonnet Scops Storytelling Guild and the Heart of Texas Storytelling Guild.

Cost is $5 for ages 13 and older.

The Texas Business Women’s Organization is selling 1-pound bags of Schermer Specialty Pecans from Albany, Ga., to benefit the Marietta Clarke Scholarship Fund.
