Conjunto Latinoamericano, an ensemble of 16 Baylor University faculty and student musicians, will present an evening of music from Mexico, Central America and South America at 8 tonight at Jones Concert Hall in Baylor’s Glennis McCrary Music Building.
The concert is free and open to the public.

‘Willy Wonka’ at CHS
Connally High School Theatre will present the musical “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” at 7 tonight, Tuesday and Thursday in the CHS Auditorium, 901 N. Lacy Drive Drive.
Cost is $6 or free to children ages 3 and younger.

The Waco-McLennan County Library will present these free story times this week:
* “Native American Tales” at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the East Waco Library, 901 Elm St.
* “Goodnight, Sleep Tight” at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the R.B. Hoover Library, 1428 Wooded Acres Drive.
* “Native American Tales” at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Central Library, 1717 Austin Ave.
* “Goodnight, Sleep Tight” at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the South Waco Library, 2737 S. 18th St.
Child day care groups are welcome to attend.

Cooking with herbs
The Waco Herb Society will present “Cooking With Herbs for the Holiday” at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Carleen Bright Arboretum, 9001 Bosque Blvd.
The program will feature new ideas about menus and gift items that utilize herbs.

Ladies’ handgun classes
The Central Texas Rifle and Pistol Club and Second Amendment Sisters are sponsoring two ladies’ handgun classes Saturday.
A beginner’s class will be conducted from 8:45 a.m. to noon and an advanced class from 1 to 4 p.m.
The classes will include safety training and target practice. Handguns, eye and ear protection and ammo will be available, but participants who own their own should bring them.
Cost is $15. Reservations are required. Class location will be given upon registration.

Elegant Ladies Haven
The nonprofit Elegant Ladies Haven is taking orders for homemade bakery items (cakes, pies, cookies, etc.) as a fundraiser.
Delivery is available in the Waco area.
The Haven helps wayward and displaced women by providing them with spiritual enrichment, donated clothes, and assistance in filling out employment, education and public assistance applications.
