Registration for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program will be conducted from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the fourth annual Christmas Assistance/Family Fun Fest at Indian Spring Park.
Underprivileged families can register for Christmas assistance at the free event, which also will include food, musicians, speakers, carnival-type games, face painting, bounce houses and more.
Those applying for assistance should bring a valid driver’s license or government-issued photo ID, a birth certificate or Social Security card for each child, and proof of residence (utility bill).

Cancer benefit
An auction and barbecue dinner benefit for Jack McManus will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Smoken Rayz, 325 New Dallas Highway.
McManus, an L-3 employee, is battling cancer.
The event will include games and a raffle for cash prizes, a deer stand, a gas barbecue grill and more. Raffle tickets cost $5.
Low-cost pet shots
Animal Birth Control Clinic, 1531 Wooded Acres Drive, will have a low-cost pet-vaccination clinic from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Feline and canine vaccinations, worming and more will be offered.

Youth baseball benefit
The Waco Rampage 8-and-younger select baseball team will have a taco plate and bake-sale fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the Southern Little League Complex, 2106 Gurley Lane.
Cost is $7 for a plate of two tacos, rice and beans. Extra tacos, drinks and baked goods will cost $1 each.

Temple Rodef Sholom, 1717 N. New Road, will have an art exhibition and sale featuring 20 Israeli artists from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Barbecue fundraiser
The Turnersville Fire Department, 8200 Farm-to-Market Road 182 in Gatesville, will have its annual barbecue dinner fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.
Cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children for a barbecue plate and desserts.
