The Baylor University School of Music will present its 19th annual Halloween Organ Concert at 7:30 tonight at Jones Concert Hall in Baylor’s Glennis McCrary Music Building.
The family event is free and will include a parade of costumes onstage for audience members who wear costumes.

GI Forum tributes
The McLennan County Chapter of the American GI Forum will conduct its monthly tribute and remembrance ceremony at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Waco Vietnam Veterans Memorial, located on the western bank of the Brazos River, along University-Parks Drive and Washington Avenue.
U.S. Army Special Forces Sgt. Bert Hernandez, a Vietnam War veteran, will be the guest speaker.
Halloween movies
The Waco Hippodrome Theatre, 724 Austin Ave., will separately present two movies tonight.
The locally made zombie film Risen will be presented at 7 p.m. The film is unrated. Cost is $5, or $3 for students.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show will be presented at midnight and will include audience response led by a Waco shadow cast group. Cost is $10, and prop bags will be available for $5.

CASA 5K race
The Court Appointed Special Advocates “CASA Speak Up for Kids 5K” race will begin at 8:15 a.m. Saturday at Indian Spring Park by the Suspension Bridge.
On-site registration will be conducted from 6:30 to 8 a.m. The event also will include a one-mile walk. Cost is $25 for the 5K and $10 for the walk, which includes a T-shirt.

Chef demonstration
Chef Tom Perini from Buffalo Gap, Texas, will give a cooking demonstration at 6 p.m. Monday at the Bosque Arts Center, 215 College Hill Drive.
Perini, author of Texas Cowboy Cooking, will discuss his cooking experiences and offer menu suggestions and cooking ideas. Guests will get to taste some of his favorites.
Cost is $35.

Lorena boil-water notice
The city of Lorena issued a boil-water notice Thursday for the city’s water customers located on the west side of Old Lorena Road to the post office, in the duplexes on the north side of Williams Road, the Shoal Ridge subdivision and those located on North Houston Street to the post office.
Customers should boil water used for drinking, cooking and making ice.
