Both north and southbound lanes of Interstate 35 in Troy will be shut down at 7 a.m. this morning for police to reconstruct the triple-fatality accident that occurred Sept. 23 near Troy.
It is unclear how long the highway will be shut down, how traffic will be rerouted or how much of the road will be sectioned off.

‘Gospel LIVE’ today
The legendary Soul Stirrers, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame gospel group, will perform at “Gospel LIVE,” a concert fundraiser benefiting the nonprofit Talitha Koum Institute, from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the Phoenix Ballroom, 401 S. Third St.
Other performers will include Keron Jackson, Baylor University’s Heavenly Voices Gospel Choir, The Tuckers featuring “Waco Idol” Holly Tucker and Cherry Boggess.
Tickets will be available at the door at a cost of $25.
Drive-through flu shots
The Central Texas Veterans Health Care System will conduct a drive-through flu vaccination clinic from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday outside of Building 18 at the Waco VA, 4800 Memorial Drive, and at the valet parking area outside of the Temple VA, 1901 Veterans Memorial Drive.
The clinics are free and open to veterans enrolled in the VA health care system.
Vaccinations also will be administered from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays through Nov. 20 in Building 4 at the Waco VA and in the lobby of the Temple VA.
College night Tuesday
About 100 colleges will be represented at the annual Heart of Texas College Night scheduled for 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Baylor University’s Ferrell Center, 1900 S. University-Parks Drive.
The event is open to students in grades seven to 12 and their parents.
A pre-event session, beginning at 6:30 p.m., will offer parents tips on how to help their children transition from high school to post-secondary education.
A financial aid and scholarship information session is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
The event is sponsored by Baylor University, McLennan Community College, Texas State Technical College, Midway and Waco Independent School districts and Vanguard College Preparatory School.
Cheer for Charity event
Organizers of Cheer for Charity are seeking cheerleading squads and dance teams, from peewee to high school, to participate in a cheer and dance exhibition scheduled for 2 p.m. Nov. 1 at Midway Middle School.
Squads will perform in a competition-like atmosphere but with no judges or pressure to win.
Cost is $15 per participant. The deadline to register is Saturday. Proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

Crisis hot line training
The Family Abuse Center will conduct a crisis hot line training class from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Oct. 12, 15, 19 and 22, and from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 17 and 24, in the Onward and Upward Building, 4709 Bosque Blvd.
Attendance is required all six days. Dinner will be served at the Monday and Thursday sessions. Coffee, doughnuts and lunch will be served at Saturday sessions.
