The fireworks were lame last night. They weren't near as spectacular as years past, they were barely above the trees. The duration of the show didn't come close to that of shows in the past. I know the show is free, but I would have thought Waco would have kept its reputation as having the biggest and best show in the area. As I was walking back to my vehicle, I noticed other area shows were still going on around Waco and were just as visible as the Waco show I was at.
I understand these are to provide a safe event for people wishing to celebrating their 4th of July with fireworks, but next year I hope the show is put on with something more then fireworks confiscated from the Fire Marshal's fireworks ticketing.

The previous location has been washed out by the river. It was no longer safe to use it. I heard someone from Waco Parks and Recreation on the radio this morning.

Does anyone know why they moved where they are firing from? There is now no view from Indian Spring Park, which took everyone by surprise last year. There must be a good reason to ruin the view and peoples ability to enjoy a day at Indian Spring Park with friends and family....right?
