POLICE NEWS: Waco woman arrested in boyfriend's stabbing

Wednesday, July 01, 2009

A Waco woman has been arrested in the stabbing of her boyfriend with a piece of glass.

Kimberly Bitterman, 26, allegedly stabbed her boyfriend, Ronald Lee Haynes, 49, after an argument about 2:30 p.m. Monday at Melvin’s 19th St. Drive-In, 1825 Alexander Ave., police said.

After the argument, Bitterman left the drive-in, and Haynes followed her and struck her head with his hand, Waco police spokesman Sgt. Steve Anderson said.

Haynes returned to the store, followed by Bitterman, who stabbed Haynes several times in the back with a piece of glass, police said.

Family members drove Haynes to the East Texas Medical Center substation at 1801 Lyle Ave. He then was taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

On Monday, the Tribune-Herald reported the stabbing happened at 1801 Lyle Ave, based on initial police reports.

Bitterman remained in the McLennan County Jail on Tuesday on an aggravated assault charge, held in lieu of $15,000 bond.

Yet another bleeding trauma victim shows up at the ill-equiped ambulance center now that Hillcrest dumped the poor side of town for the glory of affluence.
(Isn't 1801 [or was it 1805] Lyle the address where some poor guy got got shot in the face and killed in an attempt to break up a situation where some guy was beating someone up?)
Since Hillcrest didn't give a crap about the Medicaid population on the North and East Waco side of town when they decided to leave their perfectly good hospital for the glory of massive debt financed oppulence, perhaps ETMC can turn this ambulance garage into a MASH tent surgical center.

I'll be the first one at the hooha Black Tie gala for the opening of the MASH unit, while the hoitey-toitey continue to pat themselves of the back for the back for their Christian Hospitals on the rich side of town, who's Mission Statement is to serve the poor and heal the sick (just don't forget your Blue Cross card).

Hippocrate Baptist Medical Center- we have a taxpayer funded level II Trauma Center, then move to the suburbs.

I know her story. When she was a young girl, she and her sister were taken from her home because of severe abuse. They were sent to live with an aunt and uncle who loved them and treated them well. For once in her young life she was able to be a child. They did well for awhile, then the aunt was diagnosed with cancer and died. She loved her aunt so much, was so devastated when she died, she has truly never recovered. Yes, she has struggled with crack addiction for years but had been sober for over year. Those old patterns of family abuse, die hard. When times are tough you revert to what you know. Sadly, she went with what she had been trained to do as a child rather than new things she learned in treatment. Pray for her.

Ha ha ha. Gary that is too funny! Maybe we are all wrong and the jail took a bad photo of her. Or maybe she was having a bad hair day.

26?? Yeah I agree that someone has this mixed up because she must be at least for decades older than that. I hate to see what the 49 y/o male looks like if she looks like this! Crack not only kills, it makes you look like this. Both of these old people should keep their hands and broken glass to themselves. Where is Fred on this one???
