Registration for summer and fall classes is underway at Texas State Technical College from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays in the Student Services Center, 3801 Campus Drive.
Students can register for summer classes through Thursday with classes set to begin May 11. Summer II begins June 8.

Women’s business lunch
The Cen-Tex African American Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Women In Business Alliance luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Hampton Inn and Suites, 2501 Marketplace Drive.
Ginger Black, vice president of Enterprise Solutions Sales with Profiles International, will present “Living and Thriving with Risks.”

Social work event
The Baylor University School of Social Work will present a Master’s of Social Work practice colloquium from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Baylor’s Cashion Academic Center.
The event will include more than 60 presentations on issues such as immigration, mental health, domestic violence, HIV/AIDS, social advocacy, local and global hunger, homelessness and more. The event is free, but to get credit hours for attending costs $10.

The Waco-McLennan County Library will celebrate Mother’s Day with a tea party storytime. Dates, times and locations are as follows:
* 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the East Waco Library, 901 Elm St.
* 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the R.B. Hoover Library, 1428 Wooded Acres Drive.
* 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Central Library, 1717 Austin Ave.
* 10:30 a.m. Friday at the South Waco Library, 2737 S. 18th St.

Vanguard camps
Vanguard College Preparatory School, 2517 Mt. Carmel Drive, will have summer camps for kids, age 4 to eighth grade.
The camps will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 8-12, June 15-19, June 22-26 and July 6-9.
The camps will include choices of music, science, writing, art, manners, cheerleading, athletics, nature and outdoor activities.
Cost is $85 per week. Registration is required.

Seniors picnic
Meals on Wheels is sponsoring a Senior Picnic with a Cinco de Mayo Fiesta theme from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Sul Ross Senior Center, 401 N. 15th St.
The event will include a fajita lunch, a performance by the VA Band, a cake walk, bingo, crafts, a macarena dance contest, a 42 domino tournament and more.
Cost is $2 for individuals older than 60 or $5 for those younger than 60.
