A Falls County church near Reagan was destroyed in a fire Tuesday afternoon.
Fire crews from Reagan and Bremond were called to the Friendly Church of God in Christ, located outside of Bremond on Farm-to-Market Road 2413, about noon Tuesday. When they arrived, the church was fully engulfed in flames, Bremond Assistant Fire Chief Keith Rekieta said.
Firefighters battled the blaze for 30 minutes, but the building was a total loss, Rekieta said.
The Falls County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire, a spokeswoman said.
