POLICE NEWS: Two die in house fire

A house fire in Hill County killed two people Friday afternoon.

News Channel 25 reports that a 70-year-old man and a 68-year-old woman died when a fire broke out in the kitchen of their home at Farm-to-Market Road 309 and Hill County Road 1305 near Woodbury, northwest of Hillsboro.

Fire units from Woodbury, Peoria and Whitney worked to douse the blaze.

Commenting is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. M-F, except on Tuesday when it's open until 9 p.m.
