POLICE NEWS: Police arrest 2 in store robbery

Monday, December 15, 2008

Two people were arrested Sunday morning in the robbery of a Waco convenience store.

Roland Leyva, 39, and Linda Whited, 36, are charged with aggravated robbery after police say they robbed the Skinny’s at 4200

W. Waco Drive about 12:30 a.m., said Waco police spokesman Steve Anderson.

The store clerk was trying to close and lock the front door when a man forced his way inside the store, threatened the clerk with a baseball bat and demanded money from the register, Anderson said.

The man removed an unknown amount of cash and got into a waiting vehicle, Anderson said. The clerk described the vehicle to police, he said. Leyva and Whited were stopped in a vehicle matching that description on 18th Street and arrested without incident, he said.

Both were taken to the McLennan County Jail, and bond for each was set at $15,000, a jail spokeswoman said.

Subject: Waco and Fred

Citizens of Waco, please do understand that Fred is an employee of the city and that is why he has a very disgruntled attitude. The worst thing that I hate to admit is the fact that Fred is abot 70% right on the money on his posts. Freds problem is that he is very blunt and derogative on all his comments.
Fred is stuck just like most of us here in Waco. We talk down about the city management, law enforcement, and officials. What we need to do, since nobody is going anywhere, is get involved more with the city and push to make changes. This will hopefully make Waco a better place to live for our kids and grandkids. Im not worried about me but more of my family,
FRED FOR MAYOR!!!
FRED FOR MAYOR!!!
FRED FOR MAYOR!!!
He will win the popular vote...lol

Fred, you are giving away your identity dude. You seem to have an odd way of knowing details that haven't even been given out and you post them at times that correspond with shift work. Slow down and change up your routine. It doesn't take a detective to figure you out. Change your outlook too. Too much of your real self is showing.

Hey Fred,

Who cares if the off-duty officer made an "accidental" arrest. These two thugs are off the street thanks to this officer. It doesn't matter if he was on or off-duty. He is doing what he took an oath to do. Why don't you go somewhere else if you hate Waco so much? Frankly, I'm tired of coming on here to read the news and seeing you complain about everything. This officer should be commended for his actions.

As suspected, Fred is a member of Waco PD. Fred, did you help put up that billboard, too. I figured out you were a cop a while back.

This was an "accidental" arrest by an off-duty Officer who just happened to be there. As usual......the on-duty Waco Police arrested no one.

By the way Fred I forgot to mention that an off duty
Waco police officer was responsible for the arrest.
As you can see our police officers protect and serve
even when they are off duty.
