Each team competed in three preliminary rounds, four teams advanced to the semifinal round, and two teams (Greater Waco Christian Home Educators and Waco High) advanced to the final round.

Rebecca Heldenbrand of Waco High and Christiana Kaul of Midway High won awards for being the best witnesses in the preliminary rounds. Garand Tyson with Live Oak Classical School and Olivia Henderson of Waco High won awards for being the best advocates in the preliminary rounds.
