Eagle Scout project

Jake Smith, a China Spring High School graduate and member of Troop 444, recently attained the rank of Eagle Scout.

He received his Eagle award in June. For his Eagle project he designed, and with the help of fellow troop members, constructed a brick paver walkway and a flagpole at Bosqueville Cemetery. He completed the project in April.

As a Scout, he earned 39 merit badges. He also held the positions of scribe and leadership corp in his troop. He is also a brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow.

Jake is the son of Clay and Julie Smith of China Spring. He is attending McLennan Community College and will transfer to Texas A&M University in fall 2018 to major in civil engineering.
