The Reicher Catholic High School robotics team placed first at two First Tech Challenge (FTC-1) competitions on Nov. 16 and 30.

First Tech Challenge teams design, build, program and operate robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge in an alliance format. Participants have the opportunity to develop STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) skills and engineering principles while learning to collaborate and build leadership skills.

Reicher competed against teams from schools such as Vanguard College Preparatory School, Midway High and Harmony Science Academy.
