Kevin Johnson, principal of Lorena High School, has been selected to represent the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals as the Region 12 Outstanding Principal of the Year. TASSP recognizes outstanding principals and assistant principals from the state’s 20 regional Education Service Centers. School administrators are nominated and chosen by their peers within their regions

Nominations are based upon exemplary performance and outstanding leadership. As a Region 12 winner, Johnson is eligible to compete for Texas Principal of the Year.

Johnson has headed the leadership team at Lorena High School since 2013. He attended Sam Houston State University, where he earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
