Clayton Home Building Group presented a check for $50,300 to the Salvation Army’s hurricane relief efforts on behalf of the Clayton home-building facilities in Southeast Texas.

Clayton team members are given the option to donate a portion of their paycheck to an ongoing fund for local charities. A designated group from each facility decides how those funds are to be donated

After the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey in late August, they voted to support the Salvation Army’s hurricane relief efforts.

“I’m very proud of our team members and how they are so caring and generous to others in need,” said Waco 1 general manager Ray Heck. “Their generosity is inspiring and an excellent representation of our values as a company.”

The Clayton facilities Clayton Waco 1 and 2, Clayton Sulphur Springs, Clayton Bonham, SE tx and TRUtx combined their resources to make the donation.

“It’s amazing to walk into a room and see the passion of these teams — they’re like a family,” said Maj. Anita Caldwell of the Salvation Army. “We really appreciate the gift and the heart of the gift. They saw the needs of South Texas and were so giving.”
