The Community Race Relations Coalition is conducting a membership drive event Tuesday at Little Caesar’s Pizza, 1412 N. Valley Mills Drive.

The event is from 6-9 p.m. and all interested in joining are encouraged to attend.

Those attending will pay for pizza, and membership dues upon joining.

Pack of Hope fundraiser

Casa de Castillo, 4820 Sanger Ave., will host a Pack of Hope fundraiser Tuesday.

The restaurant will donate 25 percent of all sales between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. to the nonprofit organization, whose sole mission is to erase child hunger in McLennan County by providing school districts and their eligible students with backpacks filled with food to be used on weekends.

Theology, racism lecture

Bill Leonard, a Baptist studies and church history professor, will give a lecture titled “A Theology for Racism: Southern Fundamentalists and the Civil Rights Movement” at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Baylor University’s Miller Chapel, Tidwell Bible Building, 600 Speight Ave.

Halloween carnival

South Waco Community Center, 2815 Speight Ave., will host a Halloween carnival Wednesday from 6-8 p.m.

The event is free and includes games, free hot dogs, drinks, candy and a photo booth. Call 750-8650 for more information.

Dia de los Muertos

The Waco Hispanic Museum will celebrate Dia de los Muertos from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at 2815 Speight Ave.

Doris Miller Halloween carnival

Doris Miller Family YMCA will have its annual free Halloween Carnival on Wedesday. The outside candy truck and car candy giveaway will be from 5:30-6:00 p.m., the inside carnival and haunted house from 6:00-7:30 p.m. and cake/prize walk to music from 7:45- 8:15 p.m.
