A meet and greet with Robinson City Council candidates will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Robinson Junior High School Cafeteria, 410 Lyndale Drive.

Candidates will have an opportunity to introduce themselves, share a little about themselves and their background.

Each candidate will then be given several preselected questions and time to answer. Questions from the audience will also be answered if time allows.

Early voting takes place from October 23 to November 3, and Election Day is November 7.

Fitness with arthritis

The YMCA of Central Texas is starting a new 16-week enhanced fitness program Monday that helps people with arthritis workout safely and effectively with the support and accountability of a group.

The program meets three times per week for about an hour each session.

The Waco Homespun Quilters’ Guild will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Lakewood Christian Church, 6509 Bosque Blvd.

“Meet For The Technique” will start at 5:30 p.m. The Community Service Night will be devoted to construction of quilt tops for the guild’s community service projects.

Knights of Columbus festival

Knights of Columbus Council 7202 will have its 39th annual festival Oct. 22 at Geneva Hall in Elm Mott.
