The Historic Waco Foundation, in a joint venture with the Heart of Texas Storytelling Guild, will host Haunted History at East Terrace from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the East Terrace House Museum, 100 Mill St.

Listen to ghost stories, take a candlelight tour of the East Terrace House Museum and participate in activities including fishing for doughnuts, a skeleton ring toss, crafts and a costume contest. Admission is free. For more information, call 753-5166.

Czech Translation Day

The History of West Museum will have its second annual Czech Translation Day at 10 a.m. Saturday at the museum, 112 E. Oak St. in West.

The event will feature translation of genealogical documents, family letters, postcards, newspaper articles and other items from Czech to English.

The public is invited to attend a breast cancer awareness brunch at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Hope Baptist Church, 915 N. Sixth St.

Breast cancer survivors will be recognized and honored. The featured speaker will be Shanique Williams with the East Central Texas affiliate for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Hewitt First United Methodist Church, 600 S. First St. in Hewitt, is having a Harvest Festival on Saturday with a garage sale, live auction and country store.

Barbecue plate lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Adult lunches cost $10, and lunches for children under 12 cost $4. A live auction will start at noon.
