The Junior League of Waco presents “All Wrapped Up,” the 12th annual Deck the Halls holiday gift market from Friday through Sunday at the Waco Convention Center. The public is invited to shop more than 100 merchants from across the U.S. all in one location. Tickets for the general market shopping are $10 for a one-day pass and can be purchased at the door.

Mother Neff fundraiser

Mother Neff State Park Association’s fundraiser is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will host several different programs and activities for all to enjoy:

  • 10 a.m.-3 p.m.: Buffalo soldiers; Operation Game Thief trailer; children’s crafts and activities; scavenger hunt; vintage Avion travel trailer and vintage 1950 Ford truck on display; Heart of Texas Weavers; Central Texas Master Naturalists; birding programs/walks.
  • 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: Guided hikes. Approximately 1.5 miles exploring the Wash Pond, Tonkawa Cave and CCC Rock Tower. This hikes are a great way to get items on the scavenger hunt.
  • 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.: Dutch oven demonstrations and samples.
  • 1-2 p.m.: Texas Tea Party. Registration required at the event registration tent. Limited to the first 24 children 10 and younger. Food and beverages provided by MNSPA.

Please stop outside the headquarters to obtain admission ticket at the MNSPA Event Registration Tent. Event fee is $7 ages 13 & up; $5.00 for children ages 5-12. Ages 4 and younger are free.

Parkinson’s symposium

A Parkinson’s disease patient symposium is set for 10 a.m. Saturday at the McLane Stadium Ballroom.

Updates on treatments, care and research for Parkinson’s will be presented, along with a free lunch.
