World War II veteran Morris Barker will be the speaker at a meeting honoring veterans at the McLennan County Republican Women’s meeting Nov. 15. The special event is set for 11:30 a.m. in Brazos Room C of the Waco Hilton, 113 S. University Parks Drive.

Veterans Day event
All active duty military personnel, retirees and veterans receive free admission to the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame on Saturday in observance of Veteran’s Day. Valid ID or documentation of service is required.
Family members receive discounted admission Saturday.
CRRC dinner and movie
The Community Race Relations Coalition will host Dinner and a Movie on Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30pm at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church’s parish hall, 305 N. 30th St.
