Central Texas Archeological Society will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Mayborn Museum.
Guest speaker Cynthia Valle will present her research on a Busycon Columella (whelk shell) gorget found in a rockshelter in Coryell County. Of particular interest will be the possible trade routes that brought this shell to Central Texas. Valle participated in the dig through her studies at Baylor University. The public is invited to attend.
‘Secrets of the Sewer’
“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Secrets of the Sewer,” will open Saturday at Baylor University’s Mayborn Museum Complex. Families will be transported to the underground home of the crime-fighting heroes to see what really happens in their secret hideaway.
Raphael and Michelangelo will help kick off the exhibit in person from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
