Czech Heritage queen

The McLennan Hill Czech Heritage Society will crown its queen during a ceremony at 2 p.m. Sunday at the West Community Center, 200 Tokio Road. The queen will represent the chapter in the Miss Texas Czech Slovak pageant.

Decorative arts course

The Historic Waco Foundation is sponsoring the 2018 Lavonia Jenkins Barnes Decorative Arts Course, a seven-course lecture series presented by experts in the fields of decorative arts, local architecture, American fine arts and regional history. Courses will be held every Tuesday evening from Feb 6 through March 27 at the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum Education Center.
