The McLennan Hill Czech Heritage Society will crown its queen during a ceremony at 2 p.m. Sunday at the West Community Center, 200 Tokio Road. The queen will represent the chapter in the Miss Texas Czech Slovak pageant.

Greater Waco Legal Services will have its First Monday Legal Advice Clinic from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Dewey Community Center, 925 N. Ninth St.
Appointments are preferred but not required.
Decorative arts course
The Historic Waco Foundation is sponsoring the 2018 Lavonia Jenkins Barnes Decorative Arts Course, a seven-course lecture series presented by experts in the fields of decorative arts, local architecture, American fine arts and regional history. The first course will be held Tuesday evening at the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum Education Center. The other classes will follow every Tuesday evening through march 27.

Free Enterprise Forum
The second installment of the Spring 2018 Free Enterprise Forum will feature a talk by Los Angeles Times journalist Barbara Demick, about her award-winning book “Nothing to Envy: Ordinary Lives in North Korea,” which, through story-telling, depicts in vivid detail how the economic and political system in North Korea has impacted the lives and well-being of its people.

‘Roots That Bind’
Professional genealogist Ari Wilkins will present a free workshop titled “The Roots That Bind” from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the East Waco Library, 901 Elm Ave.
