The Bellmead Christmas Parade is Thursday starting at 7 p.m. This is the 32nd year that the Knights of Columbus have sponsored the event. The theme of the parade is “Keep Christ in Christmas.”
Last year the parade had more than 70 floats, representing commercial as well as religious Christmas themes. Youth groups and choral groups are encouraged to participate. Trophies will be awarded.

The Sterling C. Robertson Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday at noon at the Wealth Management Center of Community Bank, 1700 Lake Success, in Waco.
This will be the chapter Christmas Party, so please bring a dish of finger food and an item (it can be food, also) that brings back memories of Christmases long ago. Visitors interested in joining are welcome to attend.

West museum exhibit
During the Christmas season, an exhibit of old toys, beautiful dolls and unique Christmas trees is on display at the History of West Museum, 112 E. Oak St., in West.
Admission is free. Exhibit hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The exhibit runs through Dec. 30.
