Authors Darren L. Ivey and the writing team of Bob Alexander and Donaly E. Brice will discuss their work and autograph copies of their new books, “The Ranger Ideal: Texas Rangers in the Hall of Fame 1823-1861” and “Texas Rangers: Lives, Legend, and Legacy,” on Saturday at the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame.
The books are the first two in the Texas Ranger Bicentennial Publication Series and are available to buy in the museum gift shop.

Holiday golf classic
The Waco Junior Golf Association will have its annual Holiday Classic at 8:30 a.m. Jan. 1 at Ridgewood Country Club, 7301 Fish Pond Road.
The tour is open to any junior golfer, age 18 and younger.
Age groups for boys and girls are 15-18, 13-14, 11-12, and 10 and younger.
Entry fee is $35 until Dec. 26, or $45 the day of the tournament.

State of the Nation Luncheon
The Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce is having a State of the Nation Luncheon featuring Rep. Bill Flores, R-Bryan, at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Baylor Club.
The event will offer an opportunity to engage elected officials on issues in Washington that are pertinent to central Texas.
Flores will lead the conversation to discuss economic development in Central Texas and his work to help build a business-friendly climate.
Market Craft Fair
The 11th annual Market Craft Fair and Bake Sale will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Central Christian Church, 4901 Lake Shore Drive.
