Sacred Harp Sing set for Saturday
The 10th annual Baylor University Sacred Harp Sing event will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Great Hall of Baylor’s Truett Theological Seminary.
The free event will be preceded by a brief singing school at 9:30 a.m.
Lunch will be provided. The event is open to all who want to participate or observe.

Soup for Hungry Souls
Chick-fil-A is sponsoring a Soup for Hungry Souls event throughout the month of February at its Waco locations in Richland Mall, 6001 W. Waco Drive, and at 4310 Franklin Ave.
For every bowl of soup purchased during the month, Chick-fil-A will donate one to the Salvation Army.

Lorena’s Got Talent
The Lorena Band Boosters is sponsoring its annual “Lorena’s Got Talent” fundraiser at 6 p.m. Saturday in the Performing Arts Center on the Lorena High School campus, 410 N. Houston St.
Acts scheduled to appear include the Lorena Drumline, Heart o’ Texas Fair & Rodeo karaoke finalist Rachel Mynarcek, 2009 “Heartland’s Got Talent” winner Brett Hendrix and 2007 Waco Idol winner Holly Tucker.
Admission costs $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to children 5 and younger.
Proceeds will benefit the Lorena band programs.
