What ever happened to "for the love of the game"? Instead its all about the "almighty dollar". I think that the college players should go on strike or start demanding their fair share

Come on lets be honest the real reason that Baylor is getting left out in the dark is because of marketing there is no market for baylor outside of baylor the community (ironically ran by baylor alum)has low wage paying jobs and the only workforce for common day to day folks is substandard if we put another sorce of revenue in waco Subsistent economy maybe more locals would support baylor until then enjoy c-usa

I believe that TCU and Houston would be the first two schools to invite into the Big 12....TCU is a class program and Houston is coming up and has been a big program in the past....plus is adding the Metroplex and Houston to the TV market, when time comes to deal for a new TV package....Arkansas and or Tulsa are also possibilities. Texas may well go to PAC 10, because of the president of UT's ties to the west coast. I read that Mack Brown wants to stay in Big 12.

Be careful Forethought. You can't criticize Baylor or her staunch defenders will post and chastise you most vehemently for not towing the university line and spewing the highest praise for Baylor's steadfast wisdom. I found that out yesterday when I constructively criticized my alma mater for her lack of wisdom over the years in mistreating football during our history in the Big 12.

To JBR: Contingency plan? When has Baylor ever had a Plan B? Heck, when have they ever had a Plan A? Too bad "making sure we get left out in the dark of big-time athletics" wasn't one of the imperatives of Vision 2012; we would have actually managed to achieve one of them!

Rice? SMU? seriously???? How about adding a top 25 team with some talent instead of another doormat?

SMU and Rice. That would really put the revamped Big-12 on the football map. Actually, I wish TCU were in the conference from a rivalry standpoint. But today the only element that seems to matter is money via major programs in major tv markets.

Espn has reported that sources are saying that atleast Texas, Texas Tech are to anounce tuesday the move to pac 10. Texas A&M are looking at both pac 10 and sec and to expect the anouncement on tuesday. The sources are saying that Ok and ok state are poised to make similiar anouncement. These state lawmakers need to put it to the schools if you enter another conference then see how far you get on just donations.

Any chance that they'd invite TCU or SMU or Rice into the Big 12 to fill the two holes?

Do you have any feel as to whether Baylor has any contingency plan if the Big 12 doesn't work out?
