One of Texas' most wanted sex offenders arrested
By Don Bolding Tribune-Herald staff writer
One of the Texas Department of Public Safety’s most wanted sex offenders, whose last known locations were in Waco and Austin, was arrested Friday in Rapid City, S.D., after Texas authorities forwarded a tip about his location.
Leonard Eugene Wilson, 26, had been wanted since 2008 on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender, according to a DPS release.
He had been convicted previously of aggravated sexual assault of a child, indecency with a child by sexual contact and indecency with a child by exposure, the release states.
It was unclear if any of his offenses occurred in Waco.
