By Chelsea Quackenbush Tribune-Herald staff writer
A 76-year-old woman was hospitalized after being assaulted in a Wal-Mart restroom Thursday morning, and two men later were arrested and charged with aggravated robbery, according to a Bellmead police release.
Michael Hart, 42, followed Evelyn Hromadka into the restroom, assaulted her and stole her purse, the release said.
Hart ran from the store and got into a white Ford Explorer driven by Terry Harris, 51, the release said.
Police stopped the vehicle in the 1500 block of the Interstate 35 south access road. Hart ran from the vehicle but was caught after a chase, the release said.
Hart was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery, evading arrest and failure to identify. Harris was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery. Both were taken to the McLennan County Jail, the release said.
Hromadka was taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center, the release said.
No information about her condition was available Thursday night.
