Therapeutic riding center open house
REACH Therapeutic Riding Center will have an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the center’s barn, 1007 Camp Road in McGregor.
Instructors and therapists will discuss the benefits of therapeutic riding and hippotherapy for people with special needs. Volunteers will give tours of the barn and introduce the therapy horses.

Baby supples collection
The March of Dimes and PODS of Central Texas are sponsoring a baby supplies collection event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at two Waco H-E-B locations, 1301 Wooded Acres Drive and 9100 Woodway Drive.
H-E-B customers will receive a supply list that includes wipes, diapers, bottles and various other items that infants require. March of Dimes volunteers will be on hand to collect donations.

Ceramics, crafts show
The West Central Texas Ceramic Expo and Handcrafted Items Show will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at West Fraternal Auditorium, 1000 N. George Kacir Drive (off Interstate 35, between exits 353 and 354).
Admission costs $2 for adults, $1 for children and is free for ages 5 and younger.

Calligraphy guild
Calligrapher Jane Stanfield will present a “Layout and Design” program at a meeting of the Waco Calligraphy Guild from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Saturday at the Waco Art Center, 1300 College Drive.
The program is suitable for all graphic arts, including card-making and book arts.

MCC landscaping class
McLennan Community College Community Programs is offering a Landscaping With Perennials and Native Plants course from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays from March 16 to April 13 at MCC’s CSC Building, 4601 N. 19th St.
Class topics will include plant and site selection, soil preparation, watering and care of recommended plants adapted to this region.
Cost is $59.

Panhellenic scholarships
The Waco Alumnae Panhellenic Association will accept applications through March 22 for two $250 scholarships to be awarded to young women who represent their sororities in positive ways.
Students must be members of a Greek organization (not new recruits) in good standing who attended high school in the Waco-McLennan County area.
