Waco man arrested in assault
By Cody Winchester Tribune-Herald staff writer
A Waco man was arrested after police say he assaulted an elderly, disabled man.
Michael Joseph Mormino, 47, is charged with injury to an elderly person in the Feb. 23 incident.
Police say about 7 p.m., Mormino went to the home of Raymond Adell Miller in the 2700 block of Woodrow Avenue and accused Miller, 65, of stealing from him, an arrest warrant affidavit says.
Mormino then began punching Miller, who had been confined to bed for two months, in the face and head, the affidavit says. The extent of Miller’s injuries was unknown.
Mormino’s bond was set at $10,000, a McLennan County Jail spokeswoman said.
