"I found this movie very intriguing and historical. This also has a positive effect on history because it is apart of history. This movie is also educational not to mention it's based on a true story. "

"Catch A Fire" is a Must See for All

Tanya
"Ms Gillespie's review for "Catch A Fire" is disappointing. My review of the movie is the exact opposite. I feel the film is rich with character parallels and full of emotion. I would hope every viewer, regardless of race, would find a reflection of themselves in Patrick Chamuso. His story is inspirational during a period of brutal hatred.
Mr. Chamuso represents the "regular guy" who fights back when all is taken from him. His motivation, like others who risked their lives and families to join the ANC, became less about personal revenge, but more about freedom and dignity for all Black South Africans.
At the end of her review, Ms Gillespie mentions a young boy in prison. He is not a major character but his purpose is powerful. Despite his own imprisonment and witnessing the beatings of a family member, he was able to join with the adults and sing. What I saw in his eyes was not defiance, but hope and a symbol of forgiveness.
