"I've been a movie lover all my life, and in several decades of movie viewing I only walked out on 2 films -- but this makes 3. I generally try to note something positive about movies I don't like, but I can't think of anything positive to say about this unentertaining mess and its irritating quasi-documentary style."

"The Fly" of the future

"The first impression I had was of "another British future calamity movie" that shows us what will happen somewhere in time (kind of like "1984"). This time we have another DNA exchange that fuels the plot, Like in the older film "They Fly"
The effects are impressive, as is the costuming (now I know what to where for Halloween). The concept for the film is interesting and does provoke some thought, but it girders humanity's lowest denominator of brutality to "lesser" forms of life. The aliens are not really "lesser" due to the fact that they flew here and their technology is superior to ours.
But to the quick... go see the film it there is nothing else playing, or make it a movie night at home and save a lot of money at the theater."

"I fully enjoyed this movie. An action-science fiction movie made by adults. The underlying themes of bigotry, cruelty, and poverty augmented the usual hail of gun fire and explosions with a dose of realism. It doesn't tie things up with a humanity affirming happy ending. Probably why there are several bad reviews listed here."

"Don't waste your time or hard earned money. This movie was aweful, boring, foul-mouthed and a disgusting waste of time!"

"I think it was an over-all good movie. It showed how we the people are becoming more and more messed up in our heads. How the people treat the alien's is pretty close to savage, how we would probably treat them if they came down.
And how we would treat another human? Horribly, in the name of science! Yeah, that's horrible.
I did enjoy the movie. It was creative and one you wouldn't expect to see now. It was different, in a good way."
