The Good German

Piotr
"Existence in East Germany will seem even more bizarre when you realize that on most of its territory it was possible to receive West German television signal free and clear. Pay attention: it is the Western broadcast from which Dreyman learns about his text being published by Der Spiegel. This year's foreign Oscar was indeed for the best film in the competition, while the main award took on a role of a consolation prize. Maybe the Academy should create new category just for that so the current industry politics and sympathies will have an outlet."
