Better than I thought

"Grew up in the Cuse, attended SU, read the book the Elmira Express, and listened to countless stories around the kitchen table about Jim Brown, Ernie Davis, Floyd Little, Larry Czonka, John Mackey and the undefeated '59 National Champions. The problem with the professional movie reviewers is that the story seems like a made in Hollywood epic. However, the story and Ernie Davis' accomplishments were real and happened pretty much as described. Again, a much better movie than I anticipated. Will take my daughter to see it soon.

I THOUGHT IT WAS AN WONDERFUL MOVIE WITH EXCELLENT ACTING, ALTHOUGH THEY MISSED A LITTLE ON BEN SCHWARTZWALDER'S PERSONALTY. ERNIE DAVIS WAS AN INCREDIBLE FOOTBALL PLAYER AND HAD A PERSONALITY THAT WE ALL WOULD LOVE TO EMULATE.
ROB BROWN IS REALLY A QUALITY ACTOR."

"While the plot may have been a little formulaic and I would like to have seen more character development, I thought it was uplifting, emotional and had a great message. Highly recommend seeing it and take your 8 year old and up kids also so they can get a glimpse of what racism was like in the 50's and 60's.

"but not great. Thin script. Good story. American film formula. Features a lot of racism stories. "
