"McDonagh's wryly comic violence may wear thin over time, but for the moment, enjoy this cinematic introduction to his gory, giggly world."

"I got suckered by the glowing AAS & user reviews into seeing this movie, asking myself the whole time why such a "good movie" isn't in wider release. The reason: It's not a good movie. My review: This is a poor man's "Sexy Beast." And the comedy? That part where the dude blows off the midget's head? Hilarious! When the guy steals his girlfriend's drugs? Rib splitting!
Gimme a break. "

Great Film!!

"This film deserves to be playing for a wide release audience instead of just one art film house in Atlanta. The script was brilliant, the acting heart felt and the characters well developed. I went not knowing it was being billed as a comedy, but the comedy was so subtle, and so dark that I was not hit over the head with it and was surprised when I giggled in the middle of all the tragedy. Great movie!!"

"Went into this movie not expecting too much and got much more than I thought I would. Surprising mixture of humor, seriousness and sadness. Found myself laughing one moment and a tear in my eye the next. The two leads took a great script and made it much better with the excellent characters they created. This film should be playing in more than just one theatre in the Austin area."
