Central Texas football standouts Lache Seastrunk of Temple and Midway’s Ahmad Dixon have turned plenty of heads already through their junior years.
Now they’ve landed on a prestigious list of nominees for the 2010 U.S Army All-American Bowl.
The game’s two 45-players rosters will be selected from a list of 400 nominees and Seastrunk and Dixon each seem like good candidates to play in the contest, to be held Jan. 9, 2010 at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
Seastrunk is listed as the No. 2 overall prospect in the nation according to Rivals100.com.
The Wildcats running back has amassed more than 3,000 yards and rushed for better than 10 yards per carry in the last two seasons.
Seastrunk, a 5-foot-11, 192-pound running back, has yet to make a verbal commitment to a college program.
Midway’s Dixon, who switched his verbal commitment from Texas to Baylor last week, is listed as one of the top 10 defensive backs in the national by Rivals100.com. Dixon, a 6-1, 194 safety, compiled 109 tackles, three interceptions, two fumble recoveries, four tackles for losses and four pass breakups to earn Super Centex first-team honors as a junior in 2008.
